Today I’m showing you my photos of the FashionWeek Amsterdam shows of Monique Collignon and Dennis Diem! Last Saturday, I alread showed you my photos of Spijkers & Spijkers and Tess van Zalinge. And last Thursday, you could see all the shows I went to in this video. And now it’s time for the last 2 shows! I’m showing you my own photos of the shows, and I’m sharing the idea and inspiration behind the collections, and of course my favorites! I hope you like it! Which designs are your favorites?
The spring/summer 2017 collection of Dennis Diem is called ‘Sweet Rebel’ and is inspired by the movie ‘Cry Baby’, about a romance between a good girl and a bad boy in the 50s. The show started off with really classy, almost Marie Antoinette-like, dresses. And at some point, there was a big switch, and motor-cycles drove on the runway. From this moment on, there were more ‘bad boy’ outfits, and there were also ensembles in which the classical style and ‘bad boy’ style were combined. This was really an awesome show to watch, and a gorgeous collection! My absolute favorite from this collection is the long mustard-ish dress, but I’m also a big fan of the very first mint-colored dress!
The spring/summer 2017 collection of Monique Collignon is called ‘The Conscious Collection’, and that actually says it all. Over 70% of the collection is made from Waste2Wear fabrics, which means that the fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles. The rest of the fabrics are produced eco-friendly, and they also pay a lot of attention to working circumstances. So this already made me really excited! The collection is very wearabe for every day, but it’s also very chic and sophisticated. I spotted a lot of flowers, and also a nautical theme. My favorites from the collection are the nautical jumpsuit, and the black suit with bright colored flowers!
So, those were all the photos! What do you think of these collections? And which designs are your favorites? I’d love to hear!
