In the blog post series ‘Talking Style’ I’m interviewing fellow bloggers about their style. And I ask them for tips of fun unknown shops, and how to find your own style! This time, I’m talking style with Wietske from Eat Fashion Every Day! So, time to get to know her and her style a little better!
1. How would you describe your style?
My style is feminine, often colorful and always with a twist. For me, an outfit always needs to have something to make it unique; an eye catcher. Like hats, a cool accessory or a color popping clothing piece.
2. What can visitors expect when they land on your blog?
Visitors can mostly expect outfits and inspiration on my blog. Next to that, I travel quite often, so my outfit photos are taken on a lot of different locations. I also share my travel stories and photos. And I like to post about trends, how to wear them and where you can find the best items, in collage form.
3. What’s on top of your wishlist?
At the moment, the morgan dress by Nikkie Plessen is on my wishlist; a leather dress. From the moment it appeared on Nikkie’s Instagram, and later in stores, I was in love with it. It’s very edgy and it’s made from soft leather which fits the body nicely. Now I have to save up..
4. What’s your favorite go-to outfit?
A skirt with a cosy sweater or beautiful blouse, my long red or green coat, ankle boots and hat or beret.
5. Who’s your biggest (fashion) inspiration or example?
I follow a lot of fashion blogs, but for me there’s one which stands out, and that’s Annabelle Fleur from Vivaluxury. Ohhhh, if only I would have her wardrobe… Almost all her items are really cool and she always combines them super stylishly.
6. Which item in your closet is your absolute favorite?
Oooh, tough one! But I think I’ll go for my shoes from Milan. They’re definitely my most worn and oldest item. I bought them about 6 or 7 years ago in Milan. They’re really comfortable (at least for high heels) and they’re still great quality.
7. Any smaller or unknown brands we need to know about?
Labee-a-porter was unkown to me until last year, but they have a lot of beautiful feminine items. Next to that, I like to wear boho items in summer, from brands like Miss June, Bali Sensasi and Hippie Chick.
8. What is your favorite trend at the moment?
The seventies trend, with the flared jeans, the many fringed items, palazzo pants and suede. Oh, and I really like the off-shoulder trend for summer.
9. And last, but not least, any tips for people who are currently figuring out their own style?
Only wear what you like, and don’t think about what others will think about you and your style. Also, fashion blogs and Pinterest are very handy to find inspiration. Make a moodboard about your style and do your shopping based on it.
