The last show I went to this Amsterdam Fashion Week, was the show of Dorhout Mees. With this show, she presented her fall/winter 2015/2016 collection ‘STAGES’. For this collection, she was inspired by old theaters. There are pieces in the collection which refer to the old glory days, as well as pieces which are inspired by the decay of the theaters.
The show started with a beautiful film with two models in an old theater. After the film, the first model entered the runway. The runway was decorated with strings of light bulbs and their was an orchestra playing classical music. And wow, the collection was gorgeous! I especially loved the more romantic pieces, like the light pink ensemble in the first photo, the knitted ombre dressses, the long nude coloured dress with dots, the red playsuit, which looks like it’s covered in roses, and the sheer combinations with little blue and red pompoms, which also reminds me of roses. I took a lot of photos again
What do you think of the collection? And do you have any favorite pieces?
